Illegal ambulance

    AMBULANCE users who doubt the authenticity of the vehicle can call 120 or 12320 to double-check, the city’s health commission said Friday.

    The commission advises that users call one of the numbers when they need an ambulance instead of using other methods. It said that 120 is for emergency patient transport and 12320 is for nonemergency patient transport.

    Doctors suspended

    TWO doctors at a Longhua hospital were suspended from practicing medicine after they asked patients to buy drugs they had prescribed at a certain drugstore, the city’s health commission said Friday.

    The doctors, identified only by their surnames, Zhou and Meng, were in the obstetrics department of Shenzhen Longhua District People’s Hospital. Zhou was the director of the department. They confessed that they had asked their patients to buy the medicine at a drugstore located across from their hospital.
