A cappella night with Semiscon

    Taiwanese a cappella group Semiscon Vocal Band will perform Saturday night.

    The band will perform in a wide range of vocal styles ranging from classical, jazz to pop music of the East and West.

    Semiscon has made a breakthrough in traditional ensemble singing, which incorporates dance and opera. Their fabulous performance earned Semiscon the coveted Ward Swingle Award at the 4th Vokal dot Total International A Cappella Competition in Austria, which is considered as the “Oscar” of a cappella music in Europe. The group has toured in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

    Semiscon Vocal Band was established in 2002 and the ensemble released its first album “Semiscon” in 2004.

    A free lecture will be given by the band Sunday afternoon. Attendees can claim free tickets at Shenzhen Concert Hall’s website: http://www.szyyt.com.
