In order to improve our English, OCT Middle School organized an English Festival for junior section students. Drama was the theme of this activity for Grade 8. Every class had a different show. The show from Class 1 was “Justice League,” and Class 2 performed “Alice in Wonderland.”

    I think every show is wonderful, but the best show is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and the most important reason is that this is my class’s show. Snow White was played by a boy named Lin Guohui. He is our English subject representative.

    Furthermore, the prince was played by a boy too. How funny it was! Can you imagine such a scene? A boy kissed another boy on the stage, what would happen to the audience? They burst into laughter.

    My character was the hunter, and the queen asked me to kill Snow White, but when I saw Snow White, I said, “Oh, she is so pretty and lovely, I can not kill her.” Then I let Snow White go. When the Kumamon ran in front of me, I killed the clumsy Kumamon, and it fell down. Three stage helpers pulled it away in pain. The audience burst into laughter again. I think it was not only the cute Kumamon, but also my performance that made the audience laugh. Both the costume and my black skin made me look like an aborigine, matching the character perfectly.

    At the end of the festival, we took a photo together and we all laughed a hearty laugh. A lot of time spent in difficult rehearsals led by our teachers made our class a success at this English Festival.
