Finger surgery
A WORKER had four fingers on his right hand, which were cut into eight pieces, successfully reconnected after a 12-hour surgery at Longgang Orthopedics Hospital
The incident happened April 12 in a Guangming factory where the worker was operating a machine.
The worker was transferred to the hospital seven hours after the incident. A doctor said that all of the fingers were recovering and the man would be discharged soon.
Work safety
THE Shenzhen work safety administration unveiled a blacklist rule for enterprises with bad work safety records in production and operation.
The rule will take effect in June and those enterprises named on the list will have difficulty getting administrative approvals and bank loans.
The names of the enterprises will be released to the public through media before the 10th day of every month.
Children left at border
A COUPLE who crossed the border to Shenzhen in a rush, using e-lanes to avoid crowds at Futian Checkpoint, left their two children to pass through the traditional lanes checked by border officers. The two children lost contact with them after they entered the Shenzhen side as it was crowded on Saturday afternoon.
With the help of border officers, the children reunited with their parents 30 minutes later, who looked worried, walking against the flow of passengers to get to the police counter to look for their kids.
Oil painting exchange
AN oil painting exhibition will be held in Hall 6 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, displaying pieces made by Chinese and U.S. oil painters during their trip to Guangdong and Guangxi in 2014.
