SIX local enterprises, namely Huawei, Vanke, Tencent, SF Expressway, China Ping An and China Merchants Bank, have been among the first batch of enterprises to be included in the Chinese Brands Hall, which will be set up at the Shenzhen Advertisement Industrial Park in Bao’an District.
According to an approval notification from State Administration of Industry and Commerce on Wednesday, Chinese Brands Day, the Chinese Brands Hall in Bao’an will exhibit Chinese brands with world influence.
It is regarded as a platform for the introduction of influential Chinese brands, as symbols of the overall competitiveness of Chinese companies, to the world.
Shenzhen held a Shenzhen World Brands Promotion Week between April 20 and 26, to mark the first Chinese Brands Day, which was approved by the State Council to fall on May 10 each year.
At the promotion week, BGI Technologies, Hytera, Evoc Intelligent Technology and Huaqiangbei Business Circle were honored as International Prestigious Brands, bringing the total title winners to 15.
Shenzhen is home to 160 well-known brands and 350 listed companies. Three companies have been listed in China’s 10 most valuable brands. Among China’s 50 most valuable brands, 10 of them come from Shenzhen.
Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has worked out an action plan for 2017-2020 to improve enterprise competitiveness and to help promote local brands.
Compared with developed countries, China is still short of globally influential brands but is well-equipped to accelerate brand development. Chinese Brands Day will publicize brands owned independently by Chinese companies, tell the stories of these brands and raise brand recognition. (Han Ximin)
