Dyslipidemia concern
AROUND 41 percent of adults in Shenzhen suffer from dyslipidemia, or abnormal blood fat, a research study conducted by the city’s health commission showed. For adult males, the percentage is higher. One in two males suffer from the condition, in which higher total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol may contribute to developing myocardial infarctions, coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disorder.
A healthy diet and exercising regularly are the best ways to prevent and to treat dyslipidemia.
New industrial parks
SHENZHEN will start the construction of seven aggregation areas for future industries this year in Longgang, Nanshan, Longhua, Dapeng, Pingshan and Bao’an. The industries cover life sciences, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent equipment, aerospace sciences and robots.
The aggregation areas cover 568,900 square meters and are estimated to cost 200 billion yuan (US$29 billion). By 2020, the city will have 2 to 3 industrial clusters whose business volume will reach 100 billion yuan and several industrial clusters with a business volume of 10 billion yuan.
