A girl makes a purchase at a charity event at Nanshan Library yesterday. Eleven grade-one students from Nanshan Experimental Group Nantou Primary School and 11 international students at Shenzhen University from the U.K., Yemen, Chad, Argentina, Spain, Iran, Romania, America, Brazil and Uzbekistan organized the charity sale to help a child suffering from meningitis. They held the fund-raising event on Mother’s Day in hopes that it would help the child recover and return to his mother’s side.
