Rail progress
TESTS and trial operations of the Hong Kong section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Rail will be conducted in the second half of the year, according to a report of Hong Kong Transport and Housing Department.
So far, 90 percent of the project has been completed. Initial tests on two high-speed trains have been completed and other trains will be scheduled to be transported to Hong Kong this year.
Common plants
SHENZHEN Municipal Urban Administration will install labels with names and brief descriptions of 100 common plants in parks and along streets across the city before the end of June.
The move is to popularize plant science and mark the opening of the 19th International Botanical Congress to be held in the city between July 23 and 29.
Cerebrovascular center
A NEUROSURGERY team headed by Professor Ling Feng with Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University in Beijing teamed up with Peking University Shenzhen Hospital to set up a cerebrovascular disease center in the city.
The neurosurgery department at Xuanwu hospital is an influential medical center in China and the medical team will set up the center in the city to offer one-stop treatment for cerebrovascular disease.
