Free concert

Local children will present a classical music concert and the program will include Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake,” Haydn’s “Piano Sonata in E Minor” and Beethoven’s “German Dance in B-flat Major.” Entry is free.

Labyrinth

Children are welcome to join a labyrinth game to learn about botany. Those who successfully walk out of the labyrinth and find all the right answers to the 10 questions can win a prize. No sign-up is necessary.

Students’ art

Shenzhen Cuizhu Foreign Language Experimental School is exhibiting more than 300 artistic installations and paintings created by its students. The works are not only beautiful but also eco-friendly.

Rare bird photos

Shenzhen Bird Watching Society is exhibiting 300 rare bird photos at an exhibition in Bijia Mountain Park. On June 1, children are welcome to join a painting and mask-making event.

‘Effendi’

“Effendi” is a Chinese-language play based on folk legends from Xinjiang. The main character’s real name is Nasreddin. He is wise and witty and tries his best to help poor people.

‘The Odyssey of Rick the Cube’

“The Odyssey of Rick the Cube” is about a box named Rick who’s in search of its identity. Rick goes on the road for an extraordinary journey to many different places. Erwan Raguenes and Jesse Lucas composed the score with Sati Duo accompanying the show.

‘The Wonderful Adventures of Nils’

“The Wonderful Adventures of Nils” is a Chinese play adapted from Swedish author Selma Lagerlof’s fictional story. It is about a boy Nils whose “chief delight was to eat and sleep, and after that he liked best to make mischief.” A wild goose eventually takes him on an adventurous trip and the characters and situations he encounters help to make him more mature.
