Violin concert

Violinists Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova will collaborate with Russian pianist Nikolay Alexsandrov to present Mozart’s “Violin Sonata No. 21,” Dvorak’s “Sonatina in G Major,” Enrique Granados’ “Spanish Dance No. 5,” Manuel de Falla’s “Spanish Dance” and some modern tunes.

Ashram

Italian neoclassical band Ashram will perform Friday night to promote their latest album “Human and Divine.” From Naples, the band has been playing for nearly 20 years, and their music is completely acoustic with piano (Luigi Rubino), violin (Edo Notarloberti) and vocals (Sergio Panarella). The band’s sound has been described as “neoromantic, rich in melancholia and soul.”

Garbage cleaning

To mark the World Environment Day, local environmental protection volunteers are organizing a garbage-cleaning event at Dongchong and Xichong beaches in Dapeng on June 4. The organizers are also recruiting videographers and photographers for the event. The whole route will be 8km and hikers are suggested to bring their own hiking gear and snacks.
