‘Sully’

Futian English Movie Salon returns this Friday with U.S. movie “Sully.” Directed by Clint Eastwood, the movie stars Tom Hanks as Sullenberger. The film follows Sullenberger’s January 2009 emergency landing of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River, in which all 155 passengers and crew survived with only minor injuries, and the subsequent publicity and investigation. Before the showing, a launch party and English-learning talk will be held.

Launch event: 4-5:20 p.m., June 2

Movie time: 7:30-10 p.m., June 2

‘Frank’

“Frank” is a 2014 comedy-drama film directed by Lenny Abrahamson. It stars Michael Fassbender, Domhnall Gleeson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Scoot McNairy and Francois Civil. Jon, a young wanna-be musician, discovers he’s bitten off more than he can chew when he joins an eccentric pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank.
