Ex-official prosecuted

A FORMER subdistrict office official was recently prosecuted for corruption. Li Jinsong was accused of taking more than 1 million (US$147,082) in bribes since April 2006 when he was a Party official in Buji Subdistrict, Longgang.

Office fire

A COMPANY office caught fire in Luohu with no casualties reported. The fire was caused by a pan of meat that was left unattended on a stove. An employee left the office without switching off the stove.
