FUNAN Traffic Police Unit in Longhua District has put a comprehensive service hall into use offering vehicle-and-driver-related services.

The service hall, which covers an area of 200 square meters, is on the first floor of the office building of the Shenzhen Traffic Police Meiguan Expressway Brigade.

Apartment fire

A FIRE that broke out at in a 100-sqm apartment in Xili, Nanshan District, which had been renovated into 10 rooms and housed nearly a dozen people, led to an investigation into fire safety at the housing estate. There were no people in the rooms when the fire broke out on the seventh floor of the building.

However, Xili Subdistrict Office found more than 16 such apartments in the housing estate called Jiaxingyuan, which was built nearly 18 years ago. The owners renovated the apartments into more rooms in order to make more profit on the leases.
