Last weekend, I watched a U. S. movie called “War Horse.” It is a great film and is centered on a horse named Joey. Joey was a nice horse, but no one wanted to buy him. People thought he was too expensive. An old man spent a lot of money to buy Joey. The old man’s wife thought he was crazy because they were so poor and couldn’t really afford for the horse. She didn’t think Joey was worth that much money. Several days later, a war started and the old man sold Joey to a general. The general rode Joey into battle. All of the war horses went through misery and challenges in the war. The hard battles in the war made Joey grow. At the end the general died and Joey fell down on the battleground. Joey tried his best to shake it off and run. People from the opposing side even stopped fighting and helped save the horse. In that moment, the two sides were not enemies, they were a team as they worked together to save the war horse. The people realized in the end that they all dreamed about freedom and peace just like the war horse Joey. I think this movie delivers a very good message because in the end people stopped fighting as they saw hope and felt a sense of unity from the war horse. What an exciting film! |
