AN additional pair of trains running on the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway will stop at Huizhou South Railway Station, according to a new operation schedule that will take effect July 1.
Under the new schedule, the Guangzhou Railway Group will add 29 pairs of high-speed trains from Guangzhou and Changsha to Lanzhou City in Gansu Province.
In addition, more trains will operate between Guangzhou and Nanning, between Guangzhou and Guiyang and intercity trains between Pearl River Delta cities from July.
The introduction of the new schedule was made because of the forthcoming operation of the new Baoji-Lanzhou rail line. It is the first time that bullet trains will run from Guangzhou South Railway Station and Changsha South Railway Station directly to Lanzhou West Railway Station, both of which take about 10 and a half hours, according to the official website of Guangzhou Railway Group Corp.
Train G96/7, to Lanzhou, leaves from Guangzhou South Railway Station at 8:55 a.m. and arrives at Lanzhou West Station at 7:23 p.m. A one-way trip takes 10 hours and 28 minutes.
Train G864/5 leaves from Changsha South Railway Station at 9 a.m. and arrives at Lanzhou West Station at 7:30 p.m. A single trip takes about 10 hours and 25 minutes.
