Factory fire

A FACTORY in Songgang Subdistrict, Bao’an District caught fire at 7 p.m. Sunday and burned an area of 120 square meters in three hours.

No one was injured or killed in the incident, which started from a second-floor office and extended to the workshop of Yixin Galvanization Products Factory, according to a release by the Songgang Subdistrict Government.

Road project

SHENZHEN transport commission is planning a road project in Longgang Subdistrict, Longgang District, linking Bixin Road in the west and Yachi Road in the east. The 5.34-km Neihuan North Road will shorten the trip from Longgang CBD to Huizhou City.

The first phase of the road, which runs 2.2 kilometers between Bixin Road and Longgang Boulevard, is under construction.

Road rename

THREE road sections including Hengping Road, Zhongshan Road and Jinshan Road and part of Shenshan Road in Pingshan District have been renamed, Pingshan Boulevard, according to the city’s planning and land resources commission.

The new road will have at least eight lanes and run parallel to Metro Line 14, which is under construction.

The 21.5-km road will link nine parks and cultural sites and serve as the most important trunk road in Pingshan.
