Maritime museum

THE Shekou Maritime Museum officially opened to the public for free Wednesday. The museum, which covers an area of 800 sqm in Shekou, Nanshan District, has 1,000 specimens exhibited in four categories and serves as the city’s comprehensive maritime education base.

Visitors can experience the undersea world with the museum’s complete array of audio, video and VR technologies, as well as learn about the development of Shekou, from a fishing village into a modern society, over the past decades.

Online court

FUTIAN People’s Court will cooperate with Alibaba to build a platform to process financial dispute cases online.

From filing, trial to execution, the court is trying to improve the entire process of handling civil credit card-related borrowing and lending disputes.

In 2016, Futian court filed 37,253 civil cases, accounting for 56.32 percent of the total cases that the court filed in the year. Among them, 10,000 were related to credit card disputes.

Bus routes change

THE city’s transport commission has changed the numbers and stop names of 44 routes since Tuesday in the latest adjustment of the bus network due to the construction of bus stops and Metro projects.
