Woman accused of trapping husband in hospital
    2017-July-7  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A WOMAN, who was accused of trapping her husband in a local mental hospital early this year, has been brought to court by her husband. The hearing started Wednesday at the Futian court.

The man, surnamed Fang, was taken to Kangning Hospital against his will by three men while at home one night in January.

He remained at the hospital for 10 days before being released.

Fang and his wife got married 30 years ago and have five children. Since Fang has long been working outside of Shenzhen and rarely returns home, his wife suspected him of having an affair.

In 2014, the wife drafted a divorce agreement and required Fang to transfer all of their properties to their five children, but Fang refused.

Fang recalled that while he was at the hospital, he was tied down to a sofa and later diagnosed with behavioral and mental disorders caused by alcohol abuse. According to Fang, he was injected with an unknown substance and force-fed medicine, and that he had no idea what they had given him.
