Summer classes

Shenzhen Library is offering free classes on brush and pen calligraphy, ukulele, handicrafts and reading every day until Aug. 25. No sign-up is necessary and the seats will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. Those attending the ukulele and calligraphy classes should bring their own ukuleles, paper, brushes and pens. Children who have a high attendance rate for their classes will be granted a certificate.

‘Rythmo!’

Canadian troupe Samajam’s new musical show for kids “Rythmo!” is fun, surprising and interactive. This original creation sets off with Ta-Dam, a magician who’s trying to show his young audience all the splendor of his magical art. After many situations and despite themselves, Jim-Be and Tech-Nico, the two school janitors, divert this magical show towards the discovery and exploration of another fascinating art: the magic of rhythm! With every new situation, the characters and the audience will be transported into the fascinating worlds of gumboot.
