Student enrollment
SHENZHEN-BIT-MOSCOW UNIVERSITY has enrolled 115 students from eight provinces and cities for the new semester starting this September.
Among them, one-third are students from Guangdong. The university, a joint effort between Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Moscow University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, will offer four programs in international economics and trade, Russian language, math and applied math, material science and engineering.
Graduates from the university will get two diplomas, from BIT and Moscow University respectively.
Hospital thefts
A MAN surnamed Li was arrested by Futian police Sunday for allegedly stealing from multiple hospitals in Shenzhen.
Police received a report June 19 about pick-pocketing from a hospital.
Police confirmed that Li had been involved in several thefts at hospitals through the monitoring cameras.
Li would steal from the bags of patients and their families while they were waiting for medical treatment and leaving their bags unattended.
The case is still under investigation.
