“In the Name of Plants — The Past and Future of an Old Factory” is a unique art experience, showcasing Chinese and Japanese art. The exhibition is comprised of 10 exhibited items, from metal flowers to lighting installations.

Thangka

Thangka paintings created by Luozang Dongzhou from Qinghai Province are on display. A thangka is a Tibetan Buddhist painting on cotton or silk applique, usually depicting a Buddhist deity, scene or mandala.

Shanxi cultural relics

More than 200 treasures from the Northern Dynasties (386-581) unearthed in Shanxi Province are on display. It is the first time for the Shenzhen Museum to hold an exhibition specializing in the history of the period.

Contemporary art

“Beyond the Sea: International Contemporary Art Exhibition” is an exhibition featuring paintings, installations and photographic works by 28 artists, including Georg Baselitz, Daniel Richter, Jay Meuser, Enrico Bach, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Harry Callahan, Lisette Model, Elliott Erwitt, Nino Migliori, Riet van der Linden, Luo Zhongli and Henri Cartier-Bresson.
