SZ-Zhongshan ferry service will open
    2017-July-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A FERRY service between Fuyong in Shenzhen and Zhongshan will commence operation at the beginning of next month, offering eight ferry liner services daily.

Travelers from Zhongshan City who are flying via the Shenzhen airport can take the 45-minute ferry to Fuyong Ferry Terminal, which is close to the airport, and save at least one hour compared to traveling by bus or car.

The two terminals on the banks of the Pearl River are 21 nautical miles apart. The earliest ferry from Zhongshan will depart at 8:30 a.m. and operate at three-hour intervals. The ferry service from Shenzhen will operate between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., also at three-hour intervals.

The fare is 120 yuan (US$17.73) per person for a single trip and 220 yuan for a round trip.

The ferry service is one of the businesses that Shenzhen Airport Fuyong Port has added to the function of the ferry terminal.

The Hongzhou International Yacht Club, part of the first phase of the Shenzhen Airport International Passenger Service Yacht Port, was put into operation Friday. The yacht port has 176 berths for yachts of varying sizes, some of which are open to the public.

The Shenzhen airport is applying for approval to include its yacht port in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao travel program. Once approved, travelers will be able to use the yacht service to travel between Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao. (Han Ximin)
