The Congress has received about 1,000 posters.
The content of the posters covers all of the fields of the Congress in six themes:

& Conservation
The Congress has received posters about biodiversity, resources and conservation whose content mainly pertains to biodiversity in different regions and habitats all over the world.
In addition, many studies have focused on evaluating the functions and germplasm of resource plants and the evolution of medicinal plants.
Taxonomy, Phylogenetics
& Evolution
With the richest content of the Congress, the theme has been the subject of more than 200 of the posters received from various countries around the world. The research focuses on plant taxonomy, systematics, plant pedigree geology and other evolutionary biology propositions regarding plants.
It is worth mentioning that the new online tool, e-Flora, has been widely applied in this field.
Ecology, Environment
& Global Change
The research focuses on plant ecophysiology, plant interactions and community structure, the relationship between plants and animals (especially plants and pollinating insects) and the risks of plant invasion and control and ecosystem safety. Meanwhile, the field also involves hot research areas, such as explaining the response of phytocoenosium and ecosystem functions to climate change based on the functional trait method, the global vegetation model based on traits.
Development & Physiology
The posters for this theme focus on the molecular mysteries of plant growth and development, explains the developmental process and regulatory mechanisms of plants, from the formation of its seed and germination to blossom, bearing fruit and death, and explores how plants respond or adapt to external environmental signals to adjust their development during the growth process, such as plant photomorphism. Additionally, plants have evolved to form very complex and perfect signal transduction and defense mechanisms to resist the influence of external biological and abiotic stress, such as temperature changes, drought and pest infestation.
Genetics, Genomics
& Bioinformatics
This theme focuses on the development and application of genetics, omics and bioinformatics in botanical research, and especially the application of omics in the different fields of botany. As for research technology, comparative genome, transcriptional control network analysis, metabolome, gene editing and other technologies promote the rapid development of botanical research.
Plants & Society
This theme is closely related to the public, covering every aspect of plants’ relationships to human beings. The posters on this theme show people’s concerns about human survival, life, culture, education, entertainment and other issues. They cover various topics, ranging from the relationship between plants and human culture and the problem that people “ignore plants” in their daily life, to helping the public understand bryophytes and discussing how to promote an interest in plants among the public.
