Free films on food and environment
    2017-07-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Due to rainstorm, HK-PRD EcoCinema Festival postponed its July 23 documentary showing event to July 30. Entry is free but sign-up is needed.

The event will focus on the relationship between food and globalization. “What’s for Dinner?” is a 30-minute mainland documentary that provides a unique look into the rapidly growing consumption of meat in China and the increasing industrialization of agriculture. Through interactions with people across China, the film examines food production, consumption, sustainability, public health, food security, climate change and animal welfare. “What’s for Dinner?” has English subtitles.

Then a Taiwanese short film and several foreign documentaries will also be screened to show the impacts we are having on the environment.

At the event, Dominic, a Polish vegetarian and yoga instructor, will share his life stories with attendees and guide them through some yoga exercises.

Time: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., July 30
