A MAN, who is suspected of illegally buying and selling the personal information of citizens over the Internet, was arrested.

The suspect, surnamed Lu, was found in a rental house in Longgang District, where up to 100,000 pieces of personal and company information equaling about 20GB of hard disk space, were discovered in his computer.

Lu told police that he had bought a hard disk containing personal and company information on the Internet and sold the information on the QQ messaging platform. He illegally purchased each piece of information for 0.1 yuan (US$0.01485) and sold it for 0.3 yuan. (Zhang Yu)
