River treatment

TREATMENT of the heavily polluted Longgang section of the Buji River will be completed before the end of this November, according to the Longgang District Government.

Workers are laying pipelines along the 2.76-kilometer section, from Niulingxia to Buji Waste Water Treatment Plant, to intercept waste water.

Matchmaking event

A GRAND matchmaking activity organized by Shenzhen Press Group was held at Guangdong Mt. Guanyin National Forest Park, attracting hundreds of participants from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Dongguan and Huizhou. The matchmaking activity was initiated in 2010.

SZU enrollment

SHENZHEN University (SZU) enrolled a total of 6,919 students from 25 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions for undergraduate studies this year.

Among them, 150 new students will be included in the Elite and Innovative Talent program. They included those who ranked among the top 2,000 in arts or top 8,000 in science in Guangdong Province at this year’s National College Entrance Examinations.
