Man fined

A PHARMACY manager was fined 80,000 yuan (US$11,896) for illegally practicing medicine at his drug store in Longgang District. His earnings of 2,000 yuan from practicing medicine without a license have been confiscated, and the drug store was also fined 75,000 yuan. According to the city’s health authority, the manager, identified as Lin, possesses neither a doctor’s license, nor a license to be a nurse or a pharmacist. Lin was caught illegally prescribing medicine for people suffering from colds, coughs and stomachaches between November 2016 and March 29, 2017.

Companies punished

REPRESENTATIVES of two companies and an agency were punished with administrative detention and fines for illegally broadcasting commercials before a concert, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Longgang Universiade Stadium, which led to a 30-minute delay.

Security guard praised
