TeamLab

“TeamLab: Dance! Art Exhibition, Learn & Play! Future Park” is a multimedia and light installation exhibition designed to stimulate people’s creativity and collaborative minds. The exhibition was awarded “Top 10 art exhibitions of 2015” by Designboom.

Dates: Until Nov. 30

Tickets: 229 yuan

Venue: OCT Creative Exhibition Center, OCT Harbor, Baishi Road, Nanshan District (南山区白石路欢乐海岸创展中心)

Shenzhen Library

To promote its self-service machines, Shenzhen Library will organize an introduction event. In addition to its regular functions, such as searching, borrowing, returning and renewing books, the machines now allow library cardholders to log on by scanning a QR code without needing their card on hand. At the event, attendees who follow the library’s WeChat “szlibrary” or apply for library cards can even receive a gift.

Bijia Mountain shows

Bijia Mountain Public Art Week will feature modern dance shows and Chinese and British documentaries on dancing. Audience members can claim free tickets at WeChat “mingevents” or “szftjsf.” At the Aug. 3 dance show, Hong Kong sound artist Dickson Dee will collaborate with mainland musician Li Yuanqing, U.S. sound artist Nelson Hiu and Canadian musician Stephan Emery to play music on blue and white porcelains. The Aug. 4 dance show was created by Liu Qi who mixed ballet with modern dance and Chinese folk dance.

Time: 7-7:30 p.m. (documentaries), 7:30-8:30 p.m. (dance shows), Aug. 3-4

Something blue

Exhibition “Our Red Packet for Your Favorite Blue” showcases 11 groups of works, all in blue. Some items were contributed by WeChat users and include jeans, road signs, toys and shoes. The items were collected by Polit-Sheer-Form Office, which consists of five Chinese artists.

Dates: Until Oct. 22

Tickets: 8-15 yuan, free to the public Tuesdays
