Investors, producers and co-producers of the film “The Belt and Road” pose for a picture at a press conference in Shenzhen on Saturday afternoon. The movie, a Hollywood-Chinese co-production, is a 3-D blockbuster combining elements of action, thriller and sci-fi into one. The film is based on the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping and tells the story of an ambitious young man who leads a team of young volunteers to save human beings across the universe. It not only depicts Western culture, but also embraces Chinese elements and Taoism, highlighting areas of integration and complementation between the East and the West.
