    2017-August-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TWO senior officials with Longhua District People’s Hospital have been investigated for alleged corruption, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported yesterday, citing a notice by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Procuratorate.

One of the officials, identified by his family name Zhong, is the former Party chief of the Longhua hospital. He has been working in the health-care industry for more than 40 years, and had been awarded for taking the lead in the fight against graft in 2016.

The other official is the former director of the medical equipment department. Meanwhile, the controller of a medical equipment company in Shenzhen was also investigated for bribery, according to the notice.

No other details were given.

In a separate development, a renowned entrepreneur was investigated for bribery. The entrepreneur, surnamed Fu, is not only the managing director of a high-tech company, but also active in the city’s political circle and local charities. He was a political adviser in Nanshan District and has made some important proposals over the past few years. As the chairman of the charity association in Nanshan District, Fu has also been recognized on many occasions for his charity work. (Zhang Yu)
