The research ship, Science, docks at Chiwan Port in Shekou before setting sail to the Caroline seamounts area in the West Pacific on a research expedition Monday. It will conduct research on the geology, ecosystem and physiochemical environment of the Caroline seamounts area in the following months. Xinhua
