High school students compete at RoboMaster
    2017-08-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The finals of RoboMaster 2017 summer camp, organized by DJI-Innovations, was held at the DJI RoboMaster research center in Shenzhen on July 27.

Over 40 high school students from around the world gathered in Shenzhen for the championship. At last, a team of 15 high school students from Shenzhen, Qingdao, Handan, Fujian and the United States claimed the title.

The summer camp is aimed at high school students and university students worldwide, and has attracted more than 40 students from across the globe to compete in the competition. Six teams and three leagues were formed by the contestants, who competed with each other in a round-robin tournament.

During the three-week camp, students received training on robotics and were lectured by tutors, and accomplished the ultimate challenge in the finals. Teams were required to make robots that could shoot on the battlefield, a basketball court.

Different from ordinary robot competitions, this summer camp attaches more importance to students’ hands-on skills and innovative thinking. In addition, DJI invited excellent engineers and renowned experts to share knowledge and introduce advanced technology to the students.

RoboMaster summer camp was established in 2013, and it is a summer research activity dedicated to science students and robot lovers by DJI-Innovations. The summer camp focuses on robots, and is part of RoboMaster, a national robot competition for university students. This year’s camp had two programs, one for high school students and the other for university students.
