Let’s get dirty at Mud Run

The Mud Run to be held Aug. 26 in Longhua District is a unique experience whether running or watching. In a race with boot camp style obstacles that have been surrounded by or consisting of mud, people cheer as participants slip, slide and slosh their way to victory.

Walk, run or crawl through the mud pit, then scale the hills and sand dunes of this adventurous journey. In the Challenge Match category, participants should be aged 18-55 and the route is 7.5 km with 20 obstacles.

In the Family Run category, children should be aged 6-12. The route is only 3.5 km with 10 obstacles.

Time: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Aug. 26

Fees: 189 yuan (1 adult registering before Aug. 12 midnight), 239 yuan (1 adult registering Aug. 13-18), 269 yuan (2 adults & 1 kid registering before Aug. 12 midnight), 329 yuan (2 adults & 1 kid registering Aug. 13-18); 5 percent off for a group of 6-10; 10 percent off for a group of 11-20

Venue: Mission Hills Centreville, 1 Mission Hills Road, Longhua District (龙华区观澜湖路1号观澜湖新城)

Metro: Line 4, Qinghu Station (清湖站), Exit A, then take a taxi (fare will be 70-80 yuan)
