Century Place is hosting a building run-up event Aug. 26-27. The race begins in the lobby of Century Place’s shopping plaza and from there runners climb the 1,261 steps (49 floors) of the Bank of Communications building to the top.

Runners aged 18-45 can apply for a category of men’s, women’s, couple or group (three persons with at least one of each gender). Prizes will include 1,000-5,000 yuan in cash, coupons and accessories. Victory Star Fitness Club inside the Century Place will provide free warm-up courses for runners Aug. 19 in the afternoon, which will include barbell exercises and boxing.
