Man caught

A MAN has been caught for allegedly attacking a street cleaner who attempted to stop him from illegally dumping industrial waste at a garbage station in Guangming New Area a week ago. An investigation was also launched on the man’s employer, Shenzhen Jinrun Bio-technology Co. Ltd.

New air routes

HAINAN Airlines will launch two new intercontinental air routes from Shenzhen to Brisbane, Australia, and Madrid, Spain, this year. The airline is now operating 36 domestic and international air routes from Shenzhen and carries more than 3 million travelers each year. The company opened five international routes from Shenzhen last year, flying to Auckland, New Zealand, and other Southeast Asian cities.

Ferry service

FERRY services between Zhongshan City and the Shenzhen airport will start Friday. Free rides on the ferry will be offered for the first three days of its operation. Each person can reserve two seats for free on the website or WeChat account of the ferry operator, Zhongshan-Hong Kong Passenger Shipping Cooperation Co. Ltd. Ferry schedules and fares are available on the website, www.zspassenger.com.cn. A single trip on the ferry takes 45 minutes, much shorter than driving between the two cities, which usually takes 2 hours without traffic.

A FORMER deputy director of the land supervision department of the city’s urban planning and land resources commission was prosecuted for alleged corruption. Gong Mingke has been charged with allegedly abusing power in exchange for favors and bribes while he was in charge of the crackdown on illegal buildings. No other details have been provided.
