SHEKOU Prince Bay Cruise Homeport will usher in the first six-day-five-night Philippine line in South China on Aug. 27.
Tourists can travel to the Philippines whenever they want with just a passport as cruise tourists can enjoy the visa-on-arrival policy.
To satisfy the needs of family tours, the voyage has a promotion for getting tickets for a third and fourth person free of charge if staying in the same room. Citizens can consult and book tickets through travel agencies.
Dream Cruises, which completed its maiden voyage last November in Guangzhou, will take on the responsibility of carrying tourists and providing the most perfect service on the only line to the Philippines this year.
Dream Cruises has a displacement of 15 million tons, with 19 floors and 1,674 rooms. Rooms are spacious and have multiple styles. More than 70 percent of the rooms have an exclusive balcony and more than 100 of the rooms are connected to a living room to satisfy the needs of a huge family or a group of tourists.
Shekou Prince Bay Cruise Homeport has berthed 98 ships and seen a passenger flow of 110,000 since it opened Nov. 12, 2016. In the future, the homeport will become a modern coastal international community, offering transportation, historical exhibitions, performances, conference halls, hotels, businesses, apartments, activities on sea and celebrations. As the “gateway at sea,” the homeport connects Shenzhen to the world.
In recent years, the Chinese cruise liner tourism market has witnessed explosive growth, ranging from less than 10,000 passengers about 10 years ago to more than 2 million last year. China has now become the biggest cruise liner tourism market in Asia.
It is estimated that by 2035, the number of passengers on China cruises will reach 10 million, making it the biggest cruise liner tourism market in the world, according to an official with Shekou Prince Bay Cruise Homeport.
