More snake bites reported
    2017-August-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN elderly woman was bitten by a snake on Shenzhen Eastern Coastal Expressway on Sunday evening, according to a post released by Shenzhen traffic police.

At about 7:40 p.m. Sunday, the traffic police on Shenzhen Eastern Coastal Expressway received a call saying that an elderly woman had been bitten by a snake and needed to be taken to Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Hospital for emergency treatment. The section from Hengping Road to Pingsha Road on Shuiguan Expressway was seriously congested at that time. However, the traffic police rushed to the scene immediately, managed to find the woman in the traffic jam, and escorted her to the hospital for treatment.

Shenzhen TCM Hospital receives two to three patients with snake bites on a daily basis recently. (Zhang Yu)
