Hongling new campus

HONGLING Education Group in Futian District will build a new school in Dapeng New Area.

The Dapeng school will have 36 classes for the junior-school department and 36 classes for the senior-school department. Futian District will provide the funds, while Dapeng will provide land.

The two sides will build Shenzhen Fupeng Comprehensive Social Practice Base for students.

Hongling Education Group, which grew out of Hongling Middle School, the first middle school following the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, now has five schools including a high school and four junior schools.

Work on Line 12

WORK on Metro Line 12 from Chiwan in Nanshan to Waterland Park in Bao’an District will start in September, according to Bao’an District rail office. The line has 33 stations, and will be connected with Dongguan’s Metro Line 2.

It is expected to be put into operation in 2022.

Lost bag found

A WOMAN named Liu had 250,000 yuan (US$37,872) cash returned after she left it in a cab Monday thanks to the cab driver.

Ding Weimin found the cash in a handbag Liu had left in the back seat.

Ding drove to his company to hand in the bag. On the way, Liu called the company to seek help. When he arrived, Ding gave the cash to Liu.
