Donghai donation

DONGHAI Group donated 1 million yuan (US$153,032) to the quake-hit area in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan Province, for post-quake construction and disaster relief.

The group has donated an accumulative 100 million yuan to different philanthropic undertakings in recent years.

Holiday ticket sales

STARTING from Saturday, Guangzhou Railway Group Corp. commenced the sale of holiday tickets for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays between Oct. 1 and 8.

The railway company estimates the travel peak to be between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2 and return peak between Oct. 7 and 9.

Transport overview

THE Shenzhen Metro Co. said the city’s Metro network handled an average of 5 million riders a day between July and August, the summer transport season.

On July 21, the network serviced 5.39 million travelers, a new record, the operator said.
