Executive prosecuted
FENG YULING, former chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Shenzhen Investment and Holding Co. Ltd., was prosecuted on the charge of taking bribes, Shenzhen People’s Procuratorate said on its official WeChat account.
Feng was accused of taking bribes totaling 5.75 million yuan (US$881,600).
Electronic fences
INTERNET-BASED parking locations (also called electronic fences) for Mobikes have been set up in eight places in Pingshan District, including Rainbow Department Store and Shenzhen Technology University.
The electronic fence system can recommend the nearest parking locations to users and alert the operator when the number of bikes in a parking location has exceeded the limit.
Electronic travel pass
RESIDENTS with hukou in Guangdong can now check and apply to renew the endorsements on their travel permits to Hong Kong and Macao through their personal WeChat account, according to the Exit-Entry Administration of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department.
WeChat users can apply for the service by using facial recognition and tying their ID information to the electronic travel pass. After submitting the application, they can check and renew the e-pass through the Guangdong Exit-Entry public WeChat account.
Ticket scalping
SHENZHEN railway police seized 28 people, who had earned profit by scalping train tickets, during a weekend action at Shenzhen North Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station.
A den that scalped train tickets through a QQ chat group was busted.
