Doksuri ‘won’t affect SZ’

TYPHOON Doksuri, the 19th typhoon of the year, won’t bring wind or rain to the city when it passes over the South China Sea 700 kilometers south of Shenzhen on Thursday, Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said.

Doksuri was moving northwesterly to the south of Hainan and Vietnam at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour and its force has gradually strengthened.

Tamil, the 18th typhoon of the year, was to the east of Taiwan and was 1,244 kilometers away from Shenzhen at 8 a.m. yesterday. It was approaching Zhejiang and will turn northeast. It won’t affect Shenzhen, according to the observatory.

The city will experience regional showers and high temperatures in the coming three days.

Affected by Talim, Shenzhen North Railway Station will suspend high-speed trains D2282, D3126 to Nanjing, D2284, D2286, D2288 and D3108 to Shanghai, D3112 to Hangzhou and D2294 to Wenzhou on Friday.
