Ticket evasion

TRAM riders evading tickets in the city will face a fine of up to 10 times the ticket price, according to a temporary rule on tram operation and management released by the government recently. Those using forged or modified certificates to take the tram free of charge will be punished by police, according to the rule.

Rental home operator

SHENZHEN Housing Leasing Operation Management Co. was put into operation Wednesday, offering market-oriented, professional apartment leasing services.

The State-owned company, with registered capital of 1 billion yuan (US$152 million), will engage in apartment leasing, business operation and property management.

Richest CBD

THE GDP of Futian CBD in Shenzhen ranked No. 1 among CBDs in China in 2015, followed by Tianhe CBD in Guangzhou and Beijing CBD, according to a report on China’s CBD Development (2016-2017) released by the Institute for Urban and Environment Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China Social Science Academic Press.

Tax payments in Futian CBD reached 111.1 billion yuan in 2015, ranking No. 1 among CBDs in China.

Land cleared

PINGSHAN District Government has deployed 200 workers to remove illegal structures on a 33,000-square-meter State-owned land parcel.

The government paid compensation to the owners of the original structures on the land in 2005 when the land became State-owned.

However, more than 50 farmers still lived in over 20 makeshift rooms and occupied the land for growing vegetables and trees. After giving repeated notices, the government forcibly removed the illegal structures and cleared the land.
