Belt & Road Fair

THE Belt and Road Initiative Fair for International Business Cooperation will be held in Shenzhen on Nov. 18, the organizer said in Xiamen on Tuesday. The fair will be a platform for Chinese enterprises to seek international cooperation by mingling with foreign government delegations, enterprise representatives and scholars under the Belt and Road Initiatives.

Fugitives caught

BAO’AN police recently arrested four suspects in Bijie, Guizhou Province, who had been on the run for 18 years after allegedly robbing and killing a man surnamed Huang in Fuyong Subdistrict in June 1999.

The suspects broke into Huang’s house, killed him and stole a motorcycle and a small amount of money.

The last suspect surrendered to police Sept. 14.

Metro train intervals

SHENZHEN Metro Group will shorten departure intervals of trains on Line 3 during weekends to three minutes and 52 seconds between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting Saturday. The interval of night trains heading to Longgang for the section between Yitian and Tangkeng stations will also be shortened to 5-6 minutes between 9:20 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. Line 3 now handles 788,000 passengers on average per day.

Drug cases

DAPENG police cracked 11 drug abuse and trafficking cases in an operation between Sept. 4 and 12. A total of 16 drug addicts were caught and four of whom were detained. Dapeng police officers arrested four suspects in a housing estate in Pingshan on Sept. 8. Two suspects were detained for 15 days for drug abuse and harboring others to take drugs, while two others were detained for 15 days for drug abuse.
