Firefighter dies

A FIREFIGHTER was killed in a factory fire Friday in Bao’an District, according to the city’s firefighting department Saturday.

The fire broke out at 11:41 p.m. in Xinxintian Industrial Park in Shajing. The firefighting commanding center deployed 25 fire trucks to fight the fire, which was put out at 8 a.m. Saturday. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Holiday trains

SHENZHEN North Railway Station will add four pairs of high-speed sleeper trains on the Shenzhen-Beijing route and one pair on the Shenzhen-Shanghai route Oct. 5. Two pairs will be added between Shenzhen and Changsha, and 16 pairs of trains on the Shenzhen-Xiamen route will be rearranged to optimize travel between Sept. 28 and Oct. 8, according to the operator.

Ecological model

YANTIAN District has been named among the first batch of county-level ecological models in China by the Ministry of Environment Protection. Yantian, the only county-level district in Guangdong, Zhuhai and Huizhou won the title, which was conferred to only five cities and counties nationwide.
