THE 12th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF 2017), the leading logistics and transport expo in Asia, opened Thursday at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center with two new designated exhibition areas on e-commerce and consumer electronics procurement.
The Internet and E-commerce Exhibition Area in Hall 6 and Consumer Electronics E-commerce Procurement and Intelligent Manufacturing Supply Chain Exhibition Area in Hall 7 were designated to promote the integration of logistics with e-commerce in this era when information and Internet technologies have been widely incorporated into the traditional logistics field to promote its upgrade, according to the organizer, the Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association.
The organizer invited e-commerce platforms, e-commerce logistics service providers and e-commerce sellers to Hall 6.
“The pure e-commerce business era will come to an end and be replaced by a brand-new business mode with the application of Internet, big data and AI technologies,” said Zheng Yanling, secretary general of the Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association.
Based on new technologies, manufacturers can upgrade the processes for manufacturing, circulating and marketing their products to reshape their business mode and ecological circle and deepen the integration of their logistics services by providing both online and offline experiences for customers. Logistics is an important point to connect the offline and online services.
In Hall 7, the organizer invited 200 consumer electronics and intelligent manufacturing enterprises to exhibit consumer electronic products, intelligent wearables, intelligent manufacturing supply chain products and intelligent products for children. Buyers will also be arranged to attend the matchmaking meetings.
“We hope to match high-quality e-commerce and logistics services to form high supply chain systems that will improve enterprises’ competitiveness by presenting more intelligent production modes and consumer electronic products in the global market,” said Zheng.
The three-day fair, with 14 exhibition areas covering 70,000 square meters, has attracted 1,900 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, one-third of which are international exhibitors.
China has the largest logistics market in the world. In Shenzhen, the added value of the logistics industry between January and June this year reached 86.8 billion yuan (US$13.19 billion), an increase of 8.97 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 8.94 percent of the city’s GDP.
