UNDER the influence of a cold front, Shenzhen and other cities in Guangdong Province have experienced temperature drops to varying extents since Saturday. The northern Guangdong city of Shaoguan recorded the lowest temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius. In the next few days, temperatures will continue to drop.

Temperatures recorded in northern and central cities and counties have dropped by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius, while some other areas saw a 1- to 2-degree Celsius drop.

Temperatures in some areas in northern Guangdong and cities in the Pearl River Delta region were recorded at around 12 to 15 degrees Celsius, while other cities and counties have had higher temperatures of around 16 to 20 degrees Celsius.

It is forecasted that the cold front will continue to impact Guangdong until tomorrow. Today, temperatures will continue to drop.

Days will get warmer from tomorrow, but the climate will remain dry. Residents are reminded to dress appropriately for the unstable temperature during the day. (Zhang Qian)
