OVER 300 e-commerce business owners from both China and overseas took part in Cross Border Matchmaker (CBM), the first event to bring together top Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) sellers, at the Hua Qiang Plaza Hotel in Shenzhen on Friday.

Over 20 top experts in the industry shared strategies, from optimizing Amazon FBA listing to building an international brand and Internet marketing, to advise attendees on how to take their e-commerce businesses to the next level.

One of the highlights was a panel between the top international Amazon seller in China, Meir Simhi, CEO of Brand Masters, and Ricardo Li, founder of Popeye Incubator and also a former founder of eBay South China, to share their experiences from both Western and Oriental perspectives.

Zack, CEO of AMZKungfu, said, “I’m really happy to see CBM transformed from having only a foreign focus to working with Chinese manufacturers. I’m happy to see Ricardo and Meir on the same stage.”

In addition to the world-class speakers on Amazon FBA and e-commerce, there were over 22 manufacturers displaying their products in the “matchmaking room” during the meeting in order to find more e-commerce sellers to cooperate with.

Michael Michelini, founder and host of the Global From Asia podcast, said, “As the F2C (Factory to Consumer) model becomes more and more of a reality, both the international and Chinese communities need to work more closely. We are debuting a new type of business model joining e-commerce sellers and suppliers.”

“The meeting is not only about general knowledge, but specific questions that can be answered and the people that can put them into practice,” Meir said in an interview with the Shenzhen Daily.

“I am honored to have attended this conference and to have met a lot of top sellers. I asked many questions and am looking forward to sharing my experiences next time,” said Woo, a Chinese seller who’s responsible for her business’ Japan marketplace on Amazon.
