THE Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau said Wednesday that Luo Jinlai is under consideration to be appointed the new principal of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School. The bureau is seeking public opinion on the nomination.

Liu is the current vice president of the school. Many have paid close attention to the election of the new principal for the school since the renowned school’s former principal, Tang Jiahong, retired earlier this year due to his advanced age.

The education bureau launched a selection project a few months ago. Through rounds of recommendations and selection, Luo stood out and was nominated by the bureau.

The soon-to-be principal, 54, has been teaching and working at a few top schools in Shenzhen over the past 32 years. His rich experience in managing schools helped him get the nomination for the position.

Luo has been the vice principal of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School since April 2011.
