Xbox One X支持原生4K画质 The sleek US$499 Xbox One X, the most powerful console ever made, is a high-end version of Microsoft’s Xbox console with souped-up* features aimed at making 4K* gaming mainstream. Harvey Eagle, who heads up the U.K. Xbox business for Microsoft, highlights two main trends behind the development in consoles in recent years: the importance of multi-player gaming and the popularity of broadcasting gameplay to others. “And there’s also technology advancements,” he said. “The one we’re really betting on here is 4K TVs.” The Xbox One X runs on the same accessories* and games as its predecessor, but with powerful upgrades now, providing unprecedented* audio and 4K visual experiences. It’s also quiet. It uses a vapor chamber cooling system so that the console produces a soft hum even when playing games such as “Gears of War 4” in 4K. Eagle says high dynamic range (HDR*) at a native 4K resolution is four times the pixels of a standard full HD* (high-definition) 1080p image. Microsoft’s Xbox marketing boss Albert Penello said around 70 games enhanced for the console will be available at the time of launch. “4K is very aspirational right now, but we’re starting to see it take hold,” he said. Apple also shares this view, and recently released a 4K version of its Apple TV, after holding out in previous years. But the console may not be the best choice for the casual gamer. It’s a huge investment, and one that requires a 4K TV to get the best out of it. (SD-Agencies) |
