Billed as the world’s first VR mobile phone, Protruly’s smartphone “Darling” is making its second appearance at the fair with an upgrade. With a built-in 360-degree camera, the Darling V10s and V11s are able to take 720-degree VR panoramic videos and photos, providing an immersive experience for users with real-time preview, editing and content-sharing features. The 14-centimeter high-definition (HD) resolution screen is equipped with dual fisheye lenses that connect to the phone’s top bezel, with a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The photo and video definition has increased by 58 percent compared to previous technology. “The VR mobile phone enables users, especially young people, to take photo-sharing to a new level on social media,” said Pang Lihong, marketing director of the company. “In addition, for industries such as live streaming, tourism, real estate and automobile, the phone can be very useful, as it can give customers a more intuitive visual perception.” According to the company, aside from all the functions of ordinary smartphones, the VR smartphones not only support VR panoramic videos and photos, but also provide a variety of personalized filters for editing.
